22 years of work in the water softening industry sees me today as the MD of Pure Choice Limited.
I have during this period met 1000's of interesting people who benefit from softened water.
Pure Choice is an independent family owned business, who specialise in Quality Water Treatment Systems for both home and business. In the early years it was just me, then my wife Tracey helped with the books part time. Now Richard and Tracey are full time with Sue, Michael, Adrian, Mark and Ashley keeping all of our customers well supported whatever their needs.
Unlike many other providers of water softener installers we at Pure Choice do not limit ourselves to just small household water softeners. Large commercial water softeners are easily specified and installed where necessary.
Interesting work outside of our normal types of work have been encountered during the past 22 years. Water softeners for use in France, water softeners for use on boats in the Mediterranean sea, water filtration for the Austrian cheese makers have been some of the projects that we have been involved in.
As time passes I am willing to answer any questions that you may have regarding water softeners and water treatment, please post a question to test me.
Can I drink softened water?
ReplyDeletePeople have the misconception that a water softener adds salt to the water making it undrinkable. This is not the case, artificially softened water contains sodium. It is not mandatory to fit a separate drinking (hard water) tap where the local hardness is below 400 parts per million. Most of the United Kingdom will have water hardness below this figure as supplied by the local water supplier. We can measure water hardness at the time of our no obligation site survey. Consider also "The average amount of sodium in softened water, for instance, is only a fith of that in skimmed milk, and processed foods can contain 20 times more sodium than softened water."
